on my shoestring budget as a university student, and after university as an artist, I always found ways to fix my e30's enough to be better than they were when I bought them. Always got a sence of accomplishment doing this.
I have a softspot for cars I care about

Parted out then crushed a 318i due to rust for my Dad so +1.
Previously 2 e21s... both were daily drivers of mine - a 320i that I was restoring, but gave up in the end due to rust and parted it out. Then a nice L-Jet 323i manual which I T-Boned someone who did a U-Turn in front of me on a blind corner - ripped the front suspension out trying to avoid them and going over the curb
48 e30s...
2 e21s :)Leave a comment:

I was t-boned in 2010.
Stripped it and put all the good things into the new body. Sold the rest.
I really miss that car.

Guess I should add my E30 history. 1st was a free e30 that I got from my ex's uncle. Gave the engine to Deutschman for his M20 2002 project that now resides at CATuned (open house on saturday BTW). 2nd and 3rd went at the same time. Hit a pothole going way too fast, tweaked the frame of my M50 318is. Bought a shell to swap everything over, but ran out of time and money and a spot to finish it, both cars stripped and parted and I went back to school.Leave a comment:

1 here.
87 Japanese delivered 320i. Bought it rear ended for 200 bucks, got it back on the road and realised it was too far gone. Many of its bits live on in my sedan.Leave a comment:
