I ALMOST attended that year you did, after I saw the harassment you got, I will never be attending with any of my cars. They should move the event to some other city and watch OCMD rage over losing all the business.

It was a bit ridiculous.

I understand the first night about the exhaust, I was expecting it. But just the way he and the other 8(?) police officers that were there handled it is what annoyed me.

and the pull over on Saturday night still has me baffled.

OCMD police can pull you over for about anything, I was down for Ocean City Spring Cruising weekend. Now you can't sit in the back of trucks anymore, Apparently its a new law only in OCMD, Rest of MD i guess you can still.

There has been a statute on this for a while with MD (TA 21.1107). Depends on speed limit of roadway and ages of occupants, IIRC.

Quite possible OCMD has a more stringent code on this.

As far as I know, OC was the ONLY place here that that was at one point legal.

All the meets seem like they're planned for VW people. Also, just the names of the meets make it sound like major DBags will be attending. Doesn't sound like my cup of tea... guess I'll just talk to peeps at roses and see what's going on

its a vw/audi show, 98% of the meets will be catered towards them, especially ones listed on vwvortex.. theres plenty of random get togethers all weekend.. wawa, roses, hooters etc..

I'll be there and what we've been doing for years is we drive down on thursday morning party all weekend and leave Sunday morning when everybody is heading to the show. There are tons of meets all weekend that are just in random parking lots and just cars everywhere you look on the street it's a blast just watch out for the fun police who will pull you over for anything
