food for thought.
the Canadian dollar is CRAP right now, about 0.75c on the dollar currently.
you might luck out at a Canadian retailer that tends to carry wheels/stuff that's not as current as the latest lineup/releases and you might be in luck and pick it up cheaper too...
I messed up and I need R3V's help to make it right

I've tried looking for one 16x9 and one 16x7.5 ESM 002's for a while with no luck. Even contemplated getting 002R's to replace my curb rash'ed single 16x9 and 16x7.5 I have, but the center waffle is different and not threaded like 002's and legit RS's. I haven't been able to compare 002R's and 002's side by side to see any differences.Leave a comment:

Ha trust me, if it were my car I would sulk and stare at it for a long time before I did anything.
The fact of the matter is, Kingston would be driving his car today if I had not messed it up. It is my responsibility to restore the car the its previous condition as soon as humanly possible. If the wheels weren't discontinued I would have one on the way now, but since that isn't the case I made this thread.
I have spent the better part of 10 hours (no joke) scouring every corner of the internet for a lone 16x7.5 ESM 002 without any luck. A few leads that have not panned out, a few sets for sale around $500ish, but no lone wheels. I might have to break down and buy a pair of 16x8s but that will put a bigger dent in my wallet than I would like.
If anyone on R3V finds me a single 16x7.5 ESM 002 for an E30 (any color - wheels can always be re-finished) I will send you a special Joe G thank you package. The next best thing to a 16x7.5 is a pair of 16x8 wheels for as cheap as possible. I am already in the hole about $610 and thats before labor. If I could keep this whole fuck up below $800 I would be thrilled, but it's not looking good.
Get searching R3v, your efforts won't go un-noticed or un-rewarded.
Thanks,
JoeLeave a comment:

Today I learned: I'm a worse person than JoeG. I wrecked my own car in a similar fashion and I still haven't fixed my wheels... almost a full year later.Leave a comment:

Absolutely. He paid for the control arm and new wheel bearing/hub today. I need to find a fender, and then there's this situation with the wheels.
Other than that it's a bit of labor and an alignment and all should be well.
Joe has been awesome throughout all of this, no doubtLeave a comment:

Guys, Joe is for sure a stand up guy. It was my car he was driving, and after the incident, his first words were "I will make this right.' And he has proven true to that. He has already taken care of ordering several of the parts, and we are shopping for good prices on a control arm and a front wheel bearing/hub. He's ordering those today as well.
Regarding the wheels...this is my set of street wheels to get me to-and-from the track, basically. They were on another car when I bought it, so I re-purposed them to be my street wheels for the track car (still occasionally street driven). I have a set of TRM C1s for actual track driving. The only time these have seen the track is last year when it rained and I had R Comps on my track wheels.
As this is not a track setup, I am OK with running 16x7.5 in front and 16x8 in the rear if needed. I won't be able to rotate the tires that way, but I don't want Joe to have to spring for 4 wheels. I don't even want him to have to spring for 2, so if someone can find a single 16x7.5, 4x100 57.1 centerbore ESM002...that'd be great.
Thanks!

oh THOSE 002's....
wasn't there somebody selling a set of re-drilled 16" style 5's? 16x8 all around and I believe with tires...
but if it's for a track car, I dunno if I'd trust a fill and drill...Leave a comment:

The other option is getting a pair and doing a staggered setup, but since it is a track car I think he would prefer to keep it square (if possible). The wheels in the link are not the right ones (though I do appreciate your search). I am looking for these in 16x7.5.for cereal tho I think it's a real stand up thing you're doing reaching out to correct the mistake.
$hit happens, it's life.
failing a search, would your buddy be up to a pair of 0 offset 16x8's? $75/each at NL moroting...
car stagger them and run a bit of more aggressive setup in the rear, but the 7.5's up front, add a 10mm spacer and voila

Shit does happen and this just killed my 944 fund, but I couldn't live with myself if I didn't right this situation. I know that if someone messed up my car I would kill them if they tried to stiff me.Leave a comment:
