    at this point the rational part of your brain comes in and tells you to keep your high mile rust free doppelgänger vert, buy a built out 3.2 metric mechanic motor and custom geared G260 instead...

      That car is price right around $22k but honestly a bit on the rich side for most enthusiasts. Remember, not everyone values verts.

      My feeling is that the winner will not be paying the tab on this car if it exceeds that price after reality sets in. This is especially true if it hits $25k.

      I hope someone is not propping the sale with fake bids.

      "0-60 freak" got that auto bronzit for $13k? with 33,000 miles at that auction. Of course this is an entirely different car but still.

      Good luck with the sale. At that price, most would opt for an MT2 which is why I think this should hold at $22k.

        I will say, if you’re going to go all in, that looks like a decent one to do it on. Seller looks to be honest about what they had to do with it due to low miles (exhaust..etc).

        I’m not seeing a lot of stuff trying to be hidden, so it very well could set a high point for stock verts.

          Having an E30 and not driving it is unfathomable to me especially if it's a standard model. They never really enjoyed the car. I'm sure they have other cars but 15k miles in 25 years is insane.

            I’m driving myself nuts trying to sort this out. Just wish the damn car had 60k+ miles on it. I’d feel better.. I’ve spoken to the seller and am making arrangements to fly down and see the car Monday morning - if the price doesn’t blow up by tomorrow

            Oh that was never in the cards.. the $20k bid was bs for sure, probably last nights bid too. But that car was listed for $23k with 14” weaves 2.5 years ago... so no way it’s going for less than 24-25

                      well 1 day to go and I'm still high bidder. probably not a good sign that all I can think of is all the stroker and trans rebuild work I could get done for my existing vert, not to mention getting the body prepped for restoration on my IX coupe.

                        I’d take that car, everything is basically new. You can’t replicate that car for that price point. Also, if you keep the car and drive it for a few years, and then decided to sell it, I bet you could make some $ of it too. E30’s are only appreciating, so go for it.

                                yes this is a royal BaT screwup. could have waited a couple of days. that said it's over 100k miles, has suspension mods and the seats were re-done without keeping the original extended leather. I think it's a different buyer that will go that route.

                                now if it was in the condition of the May 771 car I'd be truly pissed if I were selling the calypso.
