That iX was clean, I'm surprised it didn't sell for more.

In totally unrelated news....maybe I'll win this 996 turbo since everyone keeps crapping on it for having paint that looks it's age: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...-911-turbo-29/

Seller could definitely have done better.

I just saw something weird happen on the 996 auction. A user posted a thorough review of the car after visiting it in person at 12:52am. I read it on my phone and then later when I went to BAT on my laptop the comment was gone.... Maybe because he was a first-time user? But without this, someone is missing valuable information.

Check out the screenshot from my phone and then go look at the auction (maybe they'll put it back up because I asked about it). Just feels a little sketchy: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...-911-turbo-29/

Here it is missing from the auction:

I like that '88. Highish miles, some cosmetic needs but solid.
Original paint, no wrecks, no rust, factory 5 speed.

                        Probably a $7500 car.

My brain still thinks it should be priced at $3500 - $4500...

Yup. I would say $7,500 is right on the mark. We'll see...

It's already at $6100 with six days to go. I predict $11,500.

I agree, it's top out too early and will fizzle. 225k INDICATED miles means it likely has a lot more.

I think that's just standard BaT verbiage. They take a cautious approach (to limit liability), and seem to hedge on everything. If the owner is forthcoming about unknown mileage, it would say TMU (total mileage unknown).
