That thing is beast. They pull hard and are so consistent and sooo smooth at any speed. I'm digging the black

I used to have a 2016 340i M Sport with the Track Handling package. I've never heard a "squeal" when shifting the paddles nor using the shift knob manually on the ZF8. I only owned it for a few months however.

That looks very nice indeed! I'm also redoing a 02 (touring) from the ground up, replating nuts and bolts... How long did both cars take you to restore?

That's fantastic. Makes me really wish I'd pulled the trigger on one back in '08.

    Well done on both cars!

Sure! This car has been a lot of work. I really cut my teeth learning auto on it since I've had every bolt off of the car to restore. Here's a bunch of pics from the work I've done: https://www.flickr.com/photos/91117269@N07/

I threw a couple more of the engine I'm installing on the '02 as well.

More pics please! Looks great! I almost bought a 912 with a 6 cylinder swap just after the GFC. Was fully restored and only $20k (a retiree who's investments had gone bad was desperate to recoup some money, and as they always say, if you have money when no one else does you win!)

Now down here RHD 60's Porsches are over $100k, so no way I'm getting one now!

Thanks! It only has 50hp but it's plenty of fun to drive it around here on the small windy roads :)

We daily our 2 e30s but I picked up an 02 A6 Quattro 3.0 at a DUI auction for $2600. It had 70k and a fresh $1900 dealer timing belt servic which I didn't find out about til after I bought it, learned how much the mandatory timing service was, had a heart attack, then found the dealer sticker :)

It had brand new michelins and besides M1 oil changes I've only given it a $700 set of FSDs. It's our highway cruiser and hauler....had a table saw, miter saw and both stands inside and it will fit 10' 2x6s with all doors and windows closed. Can't do that with some trucks.

15k and 3yrs later the car hasn't cost us a dime nor does it owe us one. Can't beat that....and zero car payments on the fleet
