Found this one on the intarweb. Some college kid did some mods to it and lost interest when it wouldn't pass smog.

    8-) Lucky me.

My first e30 came from a salvage yard in Anniston, AL in 1993. The car was an '86 325es, and was loaded. Somebody took a baseball bat and beat the shit out of the car. The seats and door panels were cut up, nd the roof, fenders, quarters, and hood were all caved in. The back window and the windshield were hammered as well.It was an auto, but it only had 52K miles on it. I got it for $2800, and spent $3500 making it mint again.

I put 15 x 7 Fittipaldi Indy wheels on it with 205/55/15 tires. Sold it a few years later for $6500.

Second one was an '84 318i that I saw in a guy's back yard. his son had just gotten the car, and he rolled it almost immediately. I replaced the trailing arms and control arms and sold it to a guy a few days later.

Third one was a mint '91 318ic that I bought from the original owner in 1996. It was black with tan cloth, and had the optional BMW 15 x 7 Star Spoke wheels.

I've also owned a sport package '93 325is that I updated with '96 bumpers, rockers, and 17 inch MSW Type 55C wheels.

    Also a '99 328i sport package E46, a '97 Arctic M3/4, and another '93 325is - black with automatic.

they're the 15" euro bbs baskets. they were on the car in the old pics in the fs thread (which still work btw).

I sold the baskets and I'm currently looking for something to get on there. don't know what yet though. its off the road right now, I've been waiting 3 months for my catcams cam which just came in, but they forgot the valve springs.

    still waiting

My dad found my e30 sitting in a mechanic's parking lot. It had sat there for 2 years before we got it.

I got my 86 325es from a lady I work with who said she just wanted it out of her yard. All she knew was it was a 86 BMW. Had been sitting in her yard for 4 years. Cost me the $42 tow bill, although it was driveable. I am slowly getting it back into shape to be my DD. 164k with usual problems but no rust and paint is in good condition after buff and wax.

    black 87 325e: cars.com

black 85 modded 325e: 130hp at the wheels! daN on here (we've been friends since we were like 14).

    black 90 325is 2.7i: thm03 or whatever on r3v

white 90 325is: on maxbimmer, picking it up monday or tuesday.

now for the touring. long read, and I'm bored so I'll write it out.

my 87 325e was out of comission to get a built stroker swap. had the motor out, still couldnt find a couple parts. I had some $ saved up, and decided it was time I got an e30 m3. Picked one out, alp white w/cardinal. Forget how i found it, bimmerforums maybe?

Got everything set. talked to the guy a million times. Took off work, as did my buddy who was gonna drive down. Got everything the guy said it needed, plus alternator belt, oil filter, couple misc items.

9am on a friday, 2 hours before we were supposed to drive down to get it; guy has HIS DAD call me, didnt even call me himself, saying someone came at midnight, looked at it till 4am, and bought it for a few hundred to a grand more than what we had agreed upon

i was PISSED! went home after class, hit up some bourbon and stewed in my misery. Started browsing maxbimmer. Saw this touring:

it was posted for a GREAT price. as i scrolled, he dropped the price twice! I kept expecting to see "SOLD" in big bold letters, but didn't!

so I called the guy. damnit. Some guy was bringing his 318is to trade plus cash. I was buuuummmmeeeddd. Went out to a bar with my friends

1:30am guy calls me up, says the 318 was a pos and I could check it out. don (Clutterbucker) took me up there the next day, where I bought it on the spot. Gave him a hundred bucks, and he drove it down for me a few days later

I was at my gf's apartment, had him meet me there (only a couple blocks from my apt). Actually broke up with her like minutes before. He calls me, says he's out front. She's sobbing and whatnot. I felt bad, but I was thinking "fuck it, my touring's outside!"

ran out the door and i've been loving it ever since

Bought mine from my mechanic that had been working on our volvos. He also did the paint and engine swap at his shop for the second e30.

I know, everyone is always going "you bought a car with a totalled title?!?!?!" Like I give a damn, it doesn't change anything, other than the amount I would get if I tried to sell it, which I don't ever plan to do. There's NOTHING wrong with it, no damage to the frame, the body panel graft was perfect, and there's no way anyone could ever tell.

Give the leg humping a rest already, she's f-ing married...

I got my E30 from Ted's (uofom3) dad in Eugene. It was previously owned by 2002 Restorations in Eugene. It was hit in the rear and totalled at one point, and was rebuilt, and now has a salvage title. Doesn't matter to me though, there's no frame damage, so I could care less what the title says. The car was and still is in immaculate condition, with basketweaves, an iS front airdam, ellipsoids, and a Z3 1.9 SSK. I paid $2500 with 219k on the car, and a little less than half that on the head.
