This is going to sound very random, but does anyone have the pictures from the thread that was linked in this thread?
I'm sure someone remembers how badass this Porsche looked, and I'm just trying to see it again. I'm doing research for 20 years from now :)Leave a comment:

actually...and i can speak from personal experence...if you run a front spoiler only, on a 911, it will start to wander @ about 90. we had always heard that if you ran the front and not a wing it would do something bad, so when the wing started falling apart (rust car was from SC) on my old roommates 84sc we pulled off the wing and got a grill from work (we both worked at stuttgart southwest). the car's rear end got lighter it wandered at higher speeds, and it ran hotter (intake directly in the airflow with the wing). we ended up putting a 72? carerra 3.0 deck lid/wing (one piece fiberglass) and it handled like it did before and ran cool again. You're right that the intercoolers are side mounted on 996s, but this isn't a 996, it's a 993. Top mounted intercooler. Also there's no such thing as a 996 Turbo C4...all turbos are all wheel drive (except the GT2).
The area where the most lift is created on a 911 is the nose; as long as there's a front spoiler, it should be stable at high speed. Not saying that it wouldn't help, but a rear wing should come into play for the most part at the track
yea you are right about the c-4 thing just a habit from the 993's :loco: didn't notice that it was a 993, didn't look at the headlights.Leave a comment:

I love how he said "pal". The writing in that movie (amongst MANY other things, was so bad. Who says "pal" anymore? Are we in 1957????? I dunno. Along with his general disposition towards his fellow man, he was a riot.
