I found more grounds for dismissal, i read my speeding ticket and he did not list how he determined my speed. It simply says "Speed" and in the slots says "86" and "55", from what i've so far been reading, it must say "Paced", "Radar", etc.
The friend thing was an old example of how they nailed me for bigger fines, i paid them and didn't bother with court, it hurt the pockets, but i didn't want to deal with showing to court 4-5 hours away.

Last ticket I got while a cop was pacing me was dropped because thats not a real method to determine speed.
I think having a lawyer, and being able to produce a copy of your friends ticket will be able to create some questions (Like why is everyone speeding at EXACTLY enough to get bumped up into a bigger ticket when there isn't even a radar gun)
As for failing to yield to an automated signal or whatever, you pulled over as soon as you noticed the cop and it was safe to do so. Slamming the breaks at "86 mph" is dangerous.

Thankfully i'm not in Canada though!
Kidding, just out of curiousity, how do you like it there? Going off topic in my own post. :P I'm considering moving to Canada though, seems like a nice place, very, very little crime.

Up here, errors like the postal code or lack of signature make no difference. The signing is just a formality.

BTW im fighting it because my speedo said 95mph and he didnt want to show me the radar/laser gun readout. but anywhoo sorry for the OT rant good luck with the ticket:-?

I have some good news, i was reviewing everything for errors and discovered when writing my address he put the wrong zip code, he wrote 47804 insted of 47805.
Eh, eh?
I'm still wondering about "Copy Given" in the spot for my signature.

I got another for 86 in a 65 which was 21 over and that was that state's law, i was actually doing around 75-80 according to my speedometer, he gave my buddy a ticket for exactly 86 over as well (makes you think, huh?), but i paid it, $180 in Ohio, but i didn't want to mess with the $60 in gas it would've taken me to get there to likely just get a reduced fine and have it balance out.

Yeah, that's one thing i'm worried about, if i try to fight it and get in it worse. I don't disagree with the speeding ticket like i said, yeah, i was speeding, maybe not 86, last i looked at my speedometer i was doing around 75ish and slowing down because i spotted cop headlights. Whatever, fine is the same for 5 over as it is with 25 over for some reason, nothing there to argue, but my problem is the ticket he gave me for "disreguarding the automated signal" =\.

im not 100% positive but here in PA 26 mph over is an automatic suspension. so if i were you id just be glad with what you got. but then again im not sure of how your laws work so this is a really pointless post. (delete if you feel the need)

Any help is appreciated.
Normally, for $220 it wouldn't be worth getting a lawyer, but are you SURE its only going to be $220? It be might be worse, so spend some money and talk to a local lawyer.
