the 3.0 just pulled like crazy, it was so different feeling compared to the 330i cars.
+1 on this statement. I just personally spent the past 24 hours with an uncle's 3.0si Z4 roadster. That car TOTALLY took me off guard and for surprise. I figured that the performance would be similar, engine wise, to my E46 330i, long story short, it almost feels like a different animal. It was very nice to say the least, and although I traditionally do not prefer auto's, the auto with the combonation of behind the steering wheel paddle shifters was quite fun.

Just figured I'd show my appreciation of the car by tossing a couple of pics in this thread...

Really, a V8 in every BMW and no 6s ? When is the production of Z4s and basic X3s and 3 series going to stop ? They will all be I6 turbo ?

the base model bmw motor in the next few years is supposed to become a V8, meaning no more in-line 6's.

yeah I just finished reading the review in Bimmer. Good read. It says it almost makes the Z 4 ///M irrelevant. I love the styling too.Seems like a real enthusiast car. AND IT ONLY WEIGHS 3100+ lbs!!

Z4 ///Ms (both roadster and coupe), ///M6, and 335i are the best cars on the lot today.

Love the car also, if you read more about it bmw actually even fitted a different type of steering rack for better feedback with less electo assist iirc.

Once lease on my a4 is up i'll be looking for a used m coupe, always wanted one.
