Now it could be remotely possible that the individual who removed the radio got your car was legitamately working on someone else's E30 and confused your car with someone else's and it just happened to turn out that the key fit your car too. Tow trucks are always towing away the wrong car, the wrong limbs are always being amputated in hospitals, people are always taking the wrong cell phone, the wrong set of keys, or the wrong jacket.. so very well this could be possible. And now some schmuck is sitting at home with your radio trying to figure out how to explain what happened without getting beat up.

Atlanta is having some serious issues with car break in's and theft. Two E30 M3 have been stolen in the last three months.
Sorry to hear the bad news.

On the topic of professional theives, I had my quarter glass smashed and a breifcase taken off my front seat filled with paper work and assorted business papers of no value to anyone but me, and the guy actually dropped it off at a post office. I received a call 2 days later to come pick it up. Couldnt fucking beleive it.

Bummer, bastards!
When I totalled my car it sat at my work, bastards broke the drivers window.
Luckily I had removed all my audio, PS2, radar, Sat Radio.
Only thing left was the screen mounted in my console and rear speakers,
that they didnt take.
So just a broken window for me, must of ran out of time.

yeah that's whats weird. Nothing is on, there is a lead wire that isn't connected though..... It has one connector in a white female clip. I think that is the problem, but I don't know where the hell to hook it back up!

OBC Lights

My obc is working but won't light. It was lit before I replaced everything, but now it is dark...... On a positive note, I replaced the hvac bulbs finally! So that's good.
On the OBC there is a white tab on the right side that you can pull out to get at the light bulbs. You can get new bulbs or just buy a new light bar (part 4 in the diagram). There is also a light bulb in the back of the device that illuminates the buttons.

He needed about 30 minutes at the most, I went to a friend's house and stayed there for half an hour, when i came out i found my car locked and without stereo and speakers.
as i said, a real pro. (i hate him anyway) :(

here are some pics
Besides that slice in my dash everything is fixable.
In fact I went to Pull-a-part today and for $27 I got two hvac consoles, a new ebrake console, an ashtray, and 3 quarter glass latches! All is re installed except the stereo (I have a new one on the way). My obc is working but won't light. It was lit before I replaced everything, but now it is dark...... On a positive note, I replaced the hvac bulbs finally! So that's good.

the one night that left the face in the glovebox they broke into my car and stole: some cd jewel cases (empty), 3 cd's (crappy), a cookie i had in the glove box, like $0.90 i had in the ashtray and a flashlight in my map pocket. they left the stereo face in the center console, a wallet with 150 cd's under the passenger seat, and my iPod between the seats!. now I leave absolutly nothing of value in my car or anything that LOOKS valuable in plain site.
that cookie must have been awesome..........bastard!
