I would pay for a nice "NIXON in '08" in big fat sans serif letters.

i was merely the production side of the "Quattro..." , i'll look up trevor's contact info later this evening, see if i can find it. if he did in fact sell the individual stickers for profit, then techically he owns the rights, first use in commerce and such - i'll get back to you on it after i contact him.

as an artist myself, intellectual property rights and usage rights are the bread and butter of the industry.

i've been looking into picking up a servo plotter lately myself for my airbrushing, the part that i've been concerned with is the downforce... i need to be able to cut some heavier plastics than just vinyl, but also friskets which is a thinner film than most vinyls at a max of 3mil ...so versatility and capacity is where i've been focusing... mostly 30" field. where did you buy from? did you get a better deal than list? pm me if you'd like

I used to have a Roland CX-3000 pro, but arguments over who gets to keep the machine after the lease on the office expires created a situation where I didn't get to use it anymore.

    I now have a Graphtec CE-5000-40-CRP.

I definitely prefer the Roland over the Graphtec, because the Roland is easier to use, doesn't get caught up on materials as bad, blade lasts longer, replaceable teflon strip under cutting blade as opposed to metal bar, quieter, more precise, more consistent, has built in roll cut, and has media rollers with real bearings. Not to mention, it rolls the vinyl straight more consistently too.

However, with the Graphtec CE-5000-40-CRP, it is a third of the price of the new GX-300, and although can only cut up to 15", that's all I really use in a majority of my projects and deals anyway.

The main difference is the CX-300 had servo motors, my current one has stepper motors.

If that "quattro ist fur sissies" thing your work, then that's fine, I don't have to cut it for him. You can cut it instead. I'm not one to steal someone's work on here.

hmmmm, is that trevor hittin you up for those? he run out or something?
i cut a run of 50 or so (idk off the top of my head) of the "Quattro ist für sissies" for him summer06. not sure if he sold those for profit or distributed them for free, -just a heads up, you know, intellectual property rights and all...

what kind of plotter did you get? - if you mind me asking - shoot me a pm, i'm curious to know what setup your running! i too was processing cuts through various sign shops for awhile but back in 06. ...since then i've been making the move over into the airbrush world but it's cool to hear someone's setup and their personal impression with different machines

but id like 2 down and out stickers, possible to get metallic colors such as chrome, gold, etc?
The reason I "lol"d is because they only give that sticker to cars featured in their magazine.
