    NO NO NO the n54 was an evolution of the n52, which iirc is the naturally aspirated one. The m54 was the e46 engine, based off of the m52 and m50 of the e36.

    Nay, that would be the N52. The N54 was based off the M54.

    Someone on e30tech put an M54 into his e30. The N54 is the new twin turbo six. There is no magnesium on this one, and no valvetronic (doesnt matter too much since the N52's valvetronic controls are now located in the DME).

    Technically the motor should fit with custom mounts. Just think though that you'll need to crack the dme to eliminate the ews not to mention the dme controls the electric water pump, variable rate fuel pump, the wastegates on the turbos, and the piezo injectors. I dont know if you'd be able to adapt the DME or use a standalone.
