I feel for you, here in New England the winters suck too ( not quite as cold as yours though)
My E30 is the first car I've owned in years that I have no confidence that the trunk will open when it gets below freezing.
I take it to my garage which is a few miles up the road, and the yard is gated, and pad locked, and the pad lock is always frozen, so I carry a propane torch to heat the pad lock up and open the gate,
I learned my lesson right after New Years as I pulled up to the frozen gate, went to grab the torch, and my trunk was frozen shut (where I keep the torch).
Fuck, so again I went to Home Depot and bought yet another torch setup.
So now I ride with a propane torch in the backseat.
Try to explain that to the cops, crack smoke anyone?Leave a comment:

LOL I know, actually I have a licensed extendo to beat people with. I work in a hospital so I deal with some fucked up people.
Thanks for the ICE install comment, it's alright I guess, I wish my sub would fit all the way back though.
I had a picture perfect moment today, I was on my way to waterloo going up a hill, there was a brand new M5 next to me and we both stopped traffic trying to get up the hill lol. Both sideways going 2kmh up a hill with loss of traction. Eventually the M5 made it up before me.Leave a comment:

I live in Canada too, and it has been extremely cold here in the last few days (-26 F). I have had the 325 parked out front of my house for a couple of months (not a daily driver) and the other day when I came home, the trunk was open. It seems the battery is dead, and the trunk latch must not have caught the last time I closed it. I was lucky that no one stole all the tools I had, or the stereo.Leave a comment:

The wind "could have" done one of those push and bounce scenarios and that closed it.???Leave a comment:

Nice and dry. I took everything out and put a space heater in, the closed the trunk. Warm cozy and dry.Leave a comment:
