Dude, you have a huge fucking sig. I'm surprised the mods haven't deleted it yet.

I guess mine is an eta as well.

FYI The older m20s had a different expansion tank, and yes it was on the other side. It doesn't matter what type of m20 it was, bmw used the same tank until 88 I believe.

I wouldn't pay more than 1400, If it needs a new engine I would use that in the negotiation. You are looking at 2k to installit (as far as he is concerned, and that car is NOT worth 4500 with a new motor. Maybe 3400 though.
    Oh and it's bronzite.
i had the same thing on my 325is 87. im really hating that wheel gap its horrible. i would say lik 1200-1300 maybe

+1 Ive bought enough e30s to know, Buying one with that many problems is asking for trouble. Esp since another cleaner E30 is always around the corner.
Add up all the "good"(Aftermarket parts) and the "bad"(Repair cost).

    * most of all, Dont rush into a buy because you are desperate for a E30. And for Christ's sake, Its bronzit and has sportmaxx's!!!!

Where is the car at?? Give me a call and we can go look at it. I can give you some pointers on what to look for, plus then you can try my e30 out to see how you like the cars. 651-792-5641

if your family won`t freeze or starve.....

    BUY IT>>

I would say he is right about the head and the problem starting. For a 8.5 car you could do worse. Offer half his asking with cash in hand.

    I'm with Jason $1200.
Thats a lot of oil to burn between fillups. I'm not one that would pay a lot of money for a modded car, I think it drastically lowers the value for a variety of reasons but thats just me.
