conformity. look it up. you broke the law and worse yet you did it in a self admitted small town you live in. your car is unique and cops have a job to do. dont shit in your own backyard. why give cops a reason to fuck with you? ive never understood it. i too live in a small town and got pulled over for a front euro plate on my car. all the cops know me because my car is unique too. its loud and illegal but i putt around in my town like the old man i am. every time one of these cops sees me im doing the right thing and its like money in the bank. they know im not an asshole out driving like an idiot so when something small like a plate infraction comes up i get a warning which i go and correct. i do drive like a fool but never in my own town. the cop was just doing his job. there has to be a uniform policy for plates.

Hey, what do you know about Manatee County? Like I said, I've driven next to and in front of state patrol and Manatee County Sheriff officers and haven't had a word said from anyone else.

NO!! I did not think it was legal... It's an eye catcher title.

The only thing that could be considered illegal about it is that the plate is behind the window. THAT"S IT! Other than that there's nothing illegal about it.

Have any of you ever won a case by saying the "cop wrote 4 doors instead of 2." Mistakes happen, cops see many different cars all day. If that's all you got, the judge will laugh at you for wasting his time.

Having been thru a case once, and losing due to one tiny thing I left out - it's not easy to sit there and question correctly with the prosecutor constantly saying objection to everything you say. It is NOT EASY. It definitely gets your heart pumping.

So, to sum up, unless you've actually won a case on that tiny little indescrepancy (sp?) than GTFO.

Well, I just had a simliar situation with window tinting. Even if you take it to court, unless you show the judge that you've resolved the issue (right or wrong on the cops end), they will most likey not reverse or cut down the fine.

The judge will not care about any typo's on the ticket either.. That just usually pisses them off when you point it out. Trust me, I know..

I got pulled over once and got a "fix-it ticket citation" because I had a taillight out but didn't have to pay anything. I had an m-badge on at the time and only had 2 doors as well. When he showed it to me I laughed inside, because he wrote me down as a "91 m3 with 4 doors." I felt like slapping him and when he was leaving I said,"Are you guys trying to meet Quota for the month?" He look pissed and I drove off.

I wonder is PoPo's count the hood and trunk as a door? Who knows...
I would definatly fight it though and expalin the Officers incompitance to notice things, because those things he described as "your car" could sound like another car.

Yeah, claim harassment, and make up some bullshit that "proves" that the cop has bias towards you. The only thing you might get called on is the easy plate change if you're trying to get away. Just fight that with the fact that you have a unique car and the only one that looks like that in Florida.

Just put it on right, go to court, and they'll probably drop it anyway, its at least as likely as them dropping it for writing 4 door, and if they don't drop it completely, you'll probably have to pay less.
