Okay, here is the deal.
If I do install this shit on the 325 I'll dyno the car before and after the install and post the results in the forum.
It will probably be a little while because I'm in the middle of a bunch of projects at the moment (most notably keeping the kids fed).
Recognize these Headers?

If you don't do a dyno test, you're just as weak as though labor exporting IE bitches.
Seriously. I'm sick of hearing this and that, I want a reputable source to do some actual testing.
I'd love it if your were are source.Leave a comment:

Are these primary exhaust constructed of a heat resistant non- magnetic rice metal alloy?Leave a comment:

it does appear that they are making offshore copies of the "true long tube" headers now also. looks like Stahl copies.

Okay So....They sent me a set to play with.
The tube finish is fine and the welds at first glance are acceptable but looking at them with a borescope you can see marbles left over that they couldn't reach to clean up. (this could be cleaned up with an abrasive blaster).
The flanges are a bit rough.
I did a test fit and it went as good as could be expected with any header (the trick, as with anything, is not to tighten anything up until everything is in place).
However, I have to take this all with a grain of salt because this unit was shipped to me free of charge to inspect in the hopes that I would buy them to resell.
The design is well known and much copied so I assume the will perform as expected (at least after the innards are cleaned up a bit).
I may run these on Franken Kar (can't waste it even if it's a freebie from China) But the first thing I would do would be to shot peen all that pretty shine off of them in hopes of avoiding stress cracks.
Of course (and I explained this to them before they shipped it to me) I will not market any product not made here in the US or OE equipment from EU.Leave a comment:

Wierd. Budget Beater is a piece of shit. I do have his headers on my car. However, he is a piece of shit. He's a liar.
See this thread:
Where he rejoined as another user and tried to sell a car, but I promptly diced him up.
He has also just recently rejoined e30tech as a forum sponsor, "Bav Power". I just found the thread about an hour ago. I'm currently working on proving Bav Power and Budget Beater, along with 325Power, are all the same dbags, which will hopefully lead to his banning over there. Again.Leave a comment:

My IE's has a seperate pipe between the x pipe and the collector on the headers. Where those and the BB's is a soild pipe from the header to the x pipe.
Budget beater (BB) was on here before i joined, i think. I'll let one of the older members fill in on him.Leave a comment:

DYNO TEST!Actually the company that makes them contacted me and wants me to sell them.
They are sending me a set to "inspect".
Apparently they cant read English and missed the whole thing about using USA, German etc made top quality stuff.
I'll put them on Franken Kar and see how long it takes for them to melt or shatter.
But that fucking debate to rest.Leave a comment:

They're budget beater, you can tell by the junky x pipe with the crooked pipes coming out. The ones I have, the gen 1, don't fit the head for shit, 2 runner sdon't line up, one was muscled in easy enough, the other I had a hell of a time, it has 3 gaskets on that one now, still leaks when cold. The x pipe doesn't seal up, it needs to be welded, the slip joints are crap.
They haven't cracked or anything thoughLeave a comment:
