    I've got a 3.25 lsd that I pulled from an E30.

Edit: I also have a 3.23 unlimited slip from an E30.

They are around, just harder to find than the regular ratios.

They never made a 533is. Most US-bound E28 535is' had an optional 3.25 LSD. Swiss E28 535is'/M535i's had a couple different ratios available (including 3.45 and 3.15.) Dogleg G265CR's came with 3.07 LSD, and post-9/86 535iA's had an optional 3.45 LSD.

Try a 3.25 or 3.46 at most. 3.73 will not be a good experience on the highway. You'll be cruising at 70 and be about 1500 rpm off redline.

I always tell people the "es" stands for extra slow. Well that is until they ride in the car and learn that it is not the case.

yes im told that a chip makes a very large diff. on these. so far mines bone stock with 250k++miles with just 2 1/2" cat back. if i want outstanding estimated time of arrival i just borrow my boss's Ferrari :finger:
