You had a pretty strong assumption similar to that and treated JGood and george graves and stereo installer like idiots when you started slanging braces like it was the cure for cancer. They couldn't possibly understand and it was insulting to your greatness to be questioned.

It's all about cost / benefit analysis. What gets the E46 crowd going is they have money usually, but not necessarily always so much sense. Look at the pointless crap some vendors sell.

A "vendor" that does come up with a lot of neat solutions here is george graves. He has things people are interested in, creatively makes and then sells a solution, and behaves well. Cost-effective upgrade for having a dimmer light = sweet idea and props to him.

There aren't that many problems with the E30 that could be hoped to be solved or people care enough to do something about. Not to mention many people don't track as much as these are dailies so "weaknesses" to some are not that relevant most of the time. Even if someone comes to the table and says there is a problem and he has a solution, they ought to know there needs to be hard proof of not only a problem but it being worth the while to care about, and finally that the solution exists and has a benefit and is worth the cost.

Simply coming here and saying "Wah Lah... buy these" or "You wouldn't know the problem, trust me" is pointless. You need to give the average E30 owner the benefit of the doubt of not being gullible. Hell, THR got push back about their eyeball arms and the geometry it provided.

E30's are pretty well played out and the stuff we're really good at is too pricey for what some of the guys I know call "e30 Lizards"

I have dozens of cohorts (and a few just plain horts) from different parts of the industry... Mostly just friends doing our own thing and we cooperate on projects here and there.

his silver car i think the same one was weighed at an event he came to to demonstrate his bars i dont remember how much it weighed but it was more than 300lbs underweight for stock.
