i hated them at first but they grew on me. i think it takes a certain car to pull them off though. my 69 is ratty enough to do it i think

I didn't know anything about this car until a few months ago when Jalopnik linked to this guy fixing/restoring his. I still don't know a lot about it, but I love how it looks.

I think the sheetmetal on those things was only slightly thicker than foil. They are mostly piles of rust these days.
