You understand that a sponsorship is not about just "getting free sh*t". It's a partnership. Someone is investing in your car to see some return on their end.

What are you doing to give anyone return on their end? It doesn't matter what company is looking to sponsor you, you can have the baddest e30 out there, and no one can give a sh*t. And if no one gives a sh*t, then neither will the companies.

It doesnt matter what you drive. If you could put 4 wheels on Jessica Biel and slap a sticker on her ass cheek, you bet your ass every single company would want a piece of that.

But again, you get a responsability. You don't deliver, it's all on you.

Now again..... why burden yourself with that?

I agree. Coming from the minitruck world, its hard to get sponsored. Gotta have it stand out like Erick said, and usually has to have a feature, or a trophy or something like that to show that it actually has other people's attention, and they aren't getting played. Friend of mine has a sponsor for his Cadillac, and he got a free paintjob, only catch is when its sunny out, its gonna sit outside the paint shop as an advertisement for them. Lots of responsibility to stay ontop once you even get a sponsor, its not just get one and sit back.

I looked into it for my M3 but than when I realized I could only get parts they wanted to give me I lost interest, it seems cool but its not.

My cars and I are sponsored by Bristow's Exclusive Auto Repair.
I run his stickers on my Bronzit and tell people about them at shows and on the forums.

Pete is a good friend of mine and one of my original lapping day instructors. I worked for him for awhile before breaking off onto my own.

The perks are basically I get parts at his cost (sometimes free if they are for me and cheap) and he subcontracts me and me alone for any details that he gets in his shop.

Its probably not the sponsorship you were looking for but its a sponsorship by definition.

but like i said, im not really expecting anything to just pop up in front of me at the moment, but i would be nice. I need to get out there and do a lot of auto x's and try to get my name out there. Maybe one day Ill learn how to drift like rwdrift, but i doubt that. Its just a fantasy as of now, but i have the car for it in my opinion

Im just kinda seeing whats out there, i would like to get into autoxing and im just looking into the future, i would like to get sponsored for things like seats and suspension parts. I just think my car is a good candidate, it practically a race car, its about to be running 18 psi, which reminds me i would like to get sponsored for something like tuning... tuning is fucking expensive
