A2 or R32 is the only golf I would ever get.

Mk2 with any VR swap done right will pull slightly on an R32.

As much as I hate FWD, an early Golf with a VR6 in it is stupid fun. The sound alone is worth it.

It's been nearly 20 years since I had an A2 GTI, or been in one for that matter, but I thought they were great. Still have fond memories of it.

i love the thing, its super fun. crazy daily-able too, i was surprised. once i got used to the rattle can feel of the car its been all gravy
