i agree with everyone on the M suvs being retarded, and most M cars and BMWs (and most cars) of recent have of course gotten too big and heavy and less pure and sporty. its sad when the 3s are as big as an old 5 and the 1 is bigger than an old 3 and so on. however, the e36 m3 with the real s50s, the e34 m5, and even e39 m5 and e46 m3 are a lot better than whats come since. no matter how much power you stuff into these new ones, they arent gonna get smaller or lighter. its not always about 0-60, top speed, or even lap times. i wish theyd work on taking weight and luxuries and dimensions off of their current cars instead of adding insane power to them or creating new ones of the same type. good thing weve still got the old ones to make us happy.

as for my own 2 cents, i think this is all crap. BMW is not, and will never be what they used to! we need to get over it and keep up our e30s! that is all.

this is just pathetic. I understand they need to do what they can to stay afloat in the world economy. But they have completely lost touch with their roots. BMW did not build their reputation and a subsequent religion by selling out. This is a disgrace to the ///M legacy.

It's official, just like the AMG badge, the ///M badge is now a chintzy add-on.

Turbos, automatic transmissions, and SUVs. I don't know how much more of a sell-out the M division can become.

That TT v8 should've gone into the 7 series, the x6 is a huge pile of crap! :hitler:

The ///M idea is fucking retarded for BMW's SUVs, as they are having enough trouble selling their normal versions currently.

If they put that TT motor into the z4 Mcoupe or the 135...then we can talk!
