Finally....it's done!

Here ya go, I can go down another inch in the front and about 1.5 inches in the rear..
This is my DD so yeah its low. But I havent scraped the oil pan since I took off my skid plates. :)
The skid plate is actually the reason I broke my last one..

I talked to GC today and talked to them about the shock situation and they recommend about 2" minimum of travel left for DD. I'm actually a little under that. They also said they've worked with Koni to make shocks specific for E30's that are shorter then normal E30 shocks. All you need to do is cut the shock tube. I brought up the Corrado setup and they said that one of the guys there actually started that, and there's a little more work involved to get those to fit.

So that's my next step I guess. Later on this year though, I just want to drive the car now.

I think i'm lower out back and about the same up front. Will be lower up front this coming week.

What tires are you running? I think your looks lower because your tires are taller so it looks stuffed.

My overall tire diameter is 22.77

A stock basketweave setup, 195/65/16 is 23.98" to it stuffs the tire better and makes it look lower then it really is.

Are you on stock length struts or did you cut your tubes and run shorter struts?

I'm on stock springs and struts. I'm putting in GC's with some kyb's this week to go lower.

what kind of hassle were you getting with the paint/body shop? i got a sterling silver too and those guys tell me silver is the most difficult color to lay down, therefore they want more of my money.

Funny you say that, my dad's been painting for a little over 30 years and he told me that sterling silver is one of the hardest colors to paint. Honestly it's the trash, even the slightest amount of trash in the color or the clear, you can see it from a mile away.

It's not the skid plate I'm worried about hitting, it's destroying the shocks if I lower it more in the front.

Just went out and measured and my skidplate is a little under 2 1/4" from the ground (2 3/16" to be exact). I would like to lower it down some more, but I'm just worried I'd damage my shocks by doing this. I have the front bumpstops on, but I cut them in half.
