The only pic I have of good ole Bubba: RIP

I totaled my XJ 3 years ago, but I loved that thing to death! Before I crashed it, it had a bigger lift and 32s. ;)

I have a 96 XJ sport, but its just a 2wd. Its great for towing and hauling stuff though and has been super dependable. I put some bilsteins on it the other week, rides much better now.

Old pic, looks the same but the paint is very oxidized on the hood and roof now. :(

I had the same shimmy....If its not the tires, you need a slip yoke eliminator kit. People think they only go bad if you lift the truck, but no. My silver 01 XJ in the first pic is the one this happened to @ 205K?. I replaced every bushing in it with urethane and it didnt make a huge difference really...its a truck. Currently it has around 240K and its never had so much as a flat tire since I bought it new. For the past year or so Ive been building a 4.6 stroker and swapping it to a 6 speed courtesy of a rolled 05 Rubicon donor. Its not going so well though

i dont have one, would love to but 2 cars is a handful enough. my friend has 2 xj's, one is on 32"s with 3-4 inches of lift (maybe only 2 im not certain) the other is 6-8 inches of lift (all suspension) detroits front and rear on 35" tires, the bigger one is a peice of shit, leaks alot, it was rigged up

rocked a 96 ZJ for years. OME suspension, bullbar, armor, 6mpg, yadda.

Also had a CJ with a AMC 360 swap for about a year.

currently the "other" car is a lifted '02 powerstroke.

in my spare time I'm building a tube chassis, sbc350/465/205, dana 60 / 14 bolt, 39.5 boggers on locks, etc.

cool to see some other offroad guys around.
