    Post more pics!!

I was there with the 911... spent a lot of time in the pits. I belong to an MGA Club (I have a '58 1500) and a fellow club member vintage races a MGA Twin Cam - he was having a lot of mechanical issues that week end, not to mention the weather kind of sucked.

I didn't see any tourings ... where were you hiding??

I'm about a week behind ...went by the shop Monday and took some pics of the work.

    See attached....

As of today, the car is actually finished - except for the moonroof install, that will happen Tuesday next week. I can't wait to see the finished product - the shop owner says it draws a lot of attention ...

I'll post pics next week after I pick it up

    cheers for now

I never really looked that close at the upper part of the hatch that the spoiler attaches to ... I looked through my pics but didn't really see anything either.

I'm hoping to drop back by the shop at the end of the week - I'll see if I can get some mounting pics for you

I should get the Touring back next week... it's going straight into storage for the winter, so basically I just need to travel from the body shop to my home safely.

I'll be putting my '91 318is winter beater on the road early this year. It's a nice car, but I have no issues with it being rear ended ....I'll just get another one

    cheers,

So how ironic is this ...
I've been driving a POS Dodge Avenger rental for the last 10 weeks while my Touring is being fixed.
Today, around noon, while stopped at a stop light, what happens.... I get rear ended by a Jeep Cherokee.
The Dodge's trunk is basically about 1/2 the size it was. Easily 2X the damage my Touring sustained. No one was hurt, thankfully - including my insurance standing.
What do I get as a rental for my replacment rental ... but the very same type of car - silver Dodge Aveneger.

Sorry for the late post ... I was away for the last few days.

The hatch and rear panel wasn't replaced. The hatch only had a small dent the size of a silver dollar, so they pulled that out and repaired.

They also drilled out all the spot welds for the rear panel and worked that smooth off the car- all hammer and dolly work, lots of hours, then welded it back on.

So, the rear hatch and panel were not replaced.

Just after the accident, I did look up the part numbers of both pieces, and my local dealer (in Ontario, Canada) did say that the part numbers were still valid and available.
