Thats what I have heard about Maaco. They do awesome if you prep!Maaca really isn't that bad if you do your own prep and disassembly. Spend your time on some good products, fill in all the little rock chips etc and have Maaca spray a $400-$600 paint job on it. You'll be thrilled with the results. Just don't change colors ;)
Looking good. I'd spend some wet-sanding time on the mirrors to give them a more even "flat" quality. It may just be the pictures though. What I've done in the past is use "Bumper Coating" on the rub strips and nearly anything else I want black on the car. Has a satin finish that looks very clean.
Yeah I should wet sand the mirrors, what grit?
It's my DD so i needed to toss them on there
And For the bumper trim I plan on buying all new euro trim.Leave a comment:

Painted my door and fender moldings! and realized how badly I need a new paint job. One of the P.O.s had the car painted with the window seals/windows, antenna grommet, bumper trim, side moldings, and every other thing that should be on the car, on the car when it was painted.
So I was thinking I would prep the car myself with some pals and get a mid-end or higher end Maaco paint jobLeave a comment:

I need some advice for a stroker kit. Is it better to put it all together yourself? Or buy a package from Ireland egineering or something.
What are the gains of a sroker kit?
and can you still run things like a Miller MAF and all that jazz.
THen after all that would it just be better to do a swap or turbo
Stroker seems more affordable for meLeave a comment:

Yesterday I blacked out my kidneys! And today I put on the plate filler, sprayed my wiper arms black and put new PIAA wipers on, and I put a new antenna grommet on to replace the one that caused leaks!

I did weigh it on a bathroom scale :)
I had a mini crowbar type thing and a hammer. Tried to get big chunks off and worked great. My car might be different than yours and it might stick a ton more. I have heard a heat gun and paint scraper works best for the sticky stuff. I used a metal putty knife/paint scraper type thing and a hammer to get the small stick pieces.
Thanks for the compliments bro!Leave a comment:

This guy is good, real good.
How did you take the tar out of the trunk and did you accurately measure it for the weight mentioned? Or did you read it somewhere?
Your car is lookin' real good btw.Leave a comment:

I'm in Berryessa, my antenna is broken so I might look in that. The water is leaking into the passenger seat floors. It smells like old people.Leave a comment:

I got the same problem bro! Trunk collects water, it creates a funky smell in my car. Hopefully San Jose weather gets betterLeave a comment:
