I'm sure it's been covered if you've already posted this on here, but what's your suspension setup??

That color is 100% unique to your car now. I've never liked that color except on your e46...

    Your car is hot.
I DD my e30 in the winter (non IX) and i prefer it to any FWD car.
But, my dad owns a shop so i get free winter tires....

God I love that car. I think maybe a 5 or 10 mm spacer or add that to whatever you already have in the back would be PERFECT.

i'd drive that thing all day long in the snow.

just kidding i know what its like. I got caught in a snowstorm in my E30 with Kosei K1s and summer tires on the way home once, it sucked. I had to go like 20 mph on the freeway, other people just blasting around me. Its like trying to climb up a mountain with skis and no sticks.

started a topic 'Summer car during the Winter' content.

'Summer car during the Winter' content.

Well, I left for work this morning just as snow was starting to sprinkle down and melt on the dry concrete. I've been driving the e46 to work all winter (when the roads are dry) with no problems, it does fine unless snow accumulates over a couple inches. The forecasts all said 'some possible flurries for the morning and afternoon commutes.' Last time I ever listen to that shiit. It focking snowed steadily ALL DAY from before 6am until now, and I had to leave work early because it accumulated too much. I left at 3:45 and didn't get home until now (5:20)

I have an e30 that was supposed to be my winter daily driver, but nobody in this damn city can fix the wiring problems on this M50 swap for me. So that's just sitting outside at a shop collecting snow... I couldn't be more pissed about that problem right now. I'm about ready to start begging and pleading members here for help, and I might even consider gay prostitution if it means getting this thing running. No, not really.

I got stuck a couple times on the highway during stop/go traffic.. every time we would stop on any sort of incline, I had to get out in the middle of traffic and push the car forward to gain momentum, happened 2 times on the same slight uphill. I had to go under 10mph on every street once I got off the highway because of intense ice. It was nuts.

But, with that said, I LOVE MY CAR!! and I'm so happy it's safe in the garage right now. I never thought an e46, on 19x10 rears with stretched 235/35 kumho summer tires, could ever think about making the normal 20 mile commute to/from work during a blizzard. It's not the best, but even in summer mode, it can still survive with more 'purposeful' cars. Nothing bad happened besides getting stuck and a few accidental drifts, the car did exactly what I needed it to.

Disclaimer - never do this, ever. This will never happen to me again, that's for sure. I have the option of taking my dad's e39 to work if the weather is bad, but this morning I thought 'nah, i'll trust the forecast.' psssssssssssshhhh..

    * wheels were cleaned when I pulled the car into my garage.. as always during the winter ;)
