    Danny, I believe e36 radiators that have expansion tank connected and also mine (M42) are designed for a very specific reason...

    There is a bleeder screw next the the filler cap. Unscrew coolant comes out and close it. :)
    I know its a PITA but I recommend the m42 rad to anyone swapping. less hoses and other BS.
