Just be careful how you go about adding power. With too much extra weight over the nose you will really miss the turn-in and general [steering/suspension] feel of the M42. That's the whole reason I regret selling mine and keeping all of my 6-cylinder cars. They call it the baby M3 for a reason.
I'm also thinking of further upgrades to suspension and brakes before ever attempting to add more power; not doing so just seems like a recipe for disaster. lets talk pricing...is your motor going to cost less than timing maintenance shipped?Leave a comment:

it only took me a little under 3 hours to get mine out VERY simpe to swap them out (if you may become interested) and my M42 also has new timing chains chain cover and tensioners :D
