Oh come on guys....z1, z3, z4....it's all BMW.

Did you ever test drive a Z4 before grabbing the Z3? The lines are iffy for some but I heard they are blast. There's a black 2008 Z4 with stock 18s here at work. If I ever went the Z4 route that would be it. Car looks a bit larger and more robost given the fact that its a roadster.

That's cool. How I was brought up, I don't discriminate against others.

lol. How am I discriminating. It's a statement of fact. Oh I guess you could think I'm saying the z3 is gay because gay people drive it. I never said that thought. I live in SF and there just so happen to be many gay people who drive the z3/4. Aside from that I never liked this car, besides the z4m and z3m. Just how I feel.

Its true his E30 has always been sort of a headache. Things that we didn't even know could break were going out on his car. Shame about its tragic end though :( You need to buy it back so we can molest it some more.

How do you like it? Driving wise how does it compare to an e30?
I love it. It is 10x better than the e30. I'll go back to an e30 sometime, but for now, I don't have to worry about my car not starting or have something breaking. I am incredibly happy with what I bought.

Car is small and nimble, but like i said, not as raw feeling. Also, with how small it is, it doesn't give much impression of being light, and compared to a hartop e30, it really isnt. Visibility with the top up can be pretty bad, but thats pretty common for any of the car's competitors.

m54 has a nice powerband though, and it seems to stick pretty well as well as keep its composure at higher speeds

Did you NOT read my post in the PNW section? A lot of moms and dads drive these. They kickass.

I'm thinking the opposite. I approve of the steering and the bigger brakes that the 3.0 provides. I can take it around corners going pretty quick and have it stay completely planted to the ground..yet when I was in the e30, it was struggling to go that same speed, around the same corner, and couldn't hold it's ground.

Hahaha. I knew those comments were coming, but that's alright.

I sold the e30 because it would have taken thousands to get it where I wanted, and there were too many things wrong with it. Before I sold it, it was in "I hate Eric mode" and those who live around me (wishno87) can agree with me on that.

The Z feels much, muuuuuch better than the e30. The e30 felt sloppy and unsure.

Of course I'll regret selling the e30, but I'm much happier in the Z.

To the person who said ' I just don't understand why people put so much work into their cars just to sell it off at a fraction of the value'

Sure it was a lot of work, but I wouldn't have got no where near what I got for it. I had to let it go because it was becoming a money pit.

I wanted something reliable, and the e30 didn't fit that bill.

i would've only made that plunge if it were an M-coupe. otherwise....give it 6months and you'll be in total regret mode. g/l with the new car though. =)
