I only said wannabe because he slapped BBS stickers ALL OVER THEM lol
I don't have a problem with ESM wheels at all. Theyre clean minus a cheap look. The overcompensation is what's tacky to me
The way i see it is that if you dont have the money for the expensive shit just be satisfied with what you can afford and keep it clean.
"i" lip > volvo lip
euroweaves > ESMs with a thousand BBS stickers
Stock exhaust > fart can
just my opinion though- no need to get tight about it
"Fart can" implies it is very oversized and literally sounds like flatulence. Which is really very much the case in many "JDM" cars around. I have heard this E30 in person and can assure you it is not true.
I'm sure you would love my catback straight pipe ;)

No offense but... it is your opinion.
the 'i' lip isn't even a lip. It doesn't look better than the volvo lip IMO.
Euroweaves over ESMs? 15x7s? lulz - that is the same look as these
He doesn't have a fart can... It's a single inlet dual outlet muffler. What makes it a fart can?
And... we intentionally put the BBS stickers and caps on... the whole point? To ruffle feathers because people get so worked up over it.
Just sounds incredibly elitist to me. There's no point in spending some exorbitant amount of money just so you can tell the .1% who care that your wheels are "real."

The only case against the Volvo lip is that it looks... worse. Granted, that's purely opinion based, but in general, I don't think it goes as well with our cars and that probably has a lot to do with the fact that it doesn't in fact belong on our cars.
Then again, it also doesn't cost $100+.
lolcantturn - I have no clue what you're talkin' about.
In the first pic it looks like the passenger sides camber is different from driver side, is this an illusion or is it really like that? If it is like that, then may I ask why? I'm genuinely curious.
I think the volvo lip is like the rep wheel argument... who actually knows it is a volvo lip? A small group of E30 owners and some random BMW owners. It looks almost like the IS lip and can take more of a pounding(which happens at this ride height). I don't think it is taking away from this particular car at all.
The wheels. They look good. They look good in person as well. They are definitely real wheels... I mean we drove on them. They are replicas though... reps in a spec that does not exist real world. Certainly you could buy a set of 4x100 16s... then refinish them and spend how much on new lips? Assuming the barrels/centers are proper to add more lip? Now you might need spacers as well... all of that... so some people on the internet that you don't know will be happy with your own car? meh
