    I'm saying that I agree with your theory, and that "steve zissou" is representing that he somehow obtained this car recently, despite the amazing similarities: high res pics of super clean parts. taken in the driveway. recently. schwarz parts not seen on the junkyard car.

    Either "steve zissou" did scoop the totalled car whole, or the owner is in hiding...

    If this Steve Zissou/Japandrew theory is correct, what do I win for uncovering it in the first post of the original part-out thread Ha, I hope it's not true. But if it is, I wish I would have bought something from that part-out just to say that I own something from Japandrew's former car.

    According to "Steve Zissou", who became a member January 7 of this year, and whose driveway and penchant for photography and optimistic parts prices resembles someone from around these parts, the cleanliness of the parts being sold from (presumably) this very car is all down to luck...

    I still wish we knew the whole story behind how it ended up there.

    He's obviously not planning on rebuilding since he sold all the parts... but where's the engine? He put so much time in to faking the displacement of the block and polishing those piston crowns!

    I love how this thread progressively got worse as it went on, it was a roller coaster of emotion.

    Confused on what really went on
    Then that picture... lol

    Someone should buy it and just cover it with tape, then leave it at his house. Maybe he just decided to buy a new car instead, probably a smart car.
