You definitely can, but it's not cheap. I will stand with OP on this one, yes they are fwd, but for their time they were a superior performing car. I think some people on here are forgetting that our cars aren't very spectacular, but that is the very reason we own them in the first place. We don't want them to be spectacular.
Thank you and your right. Most are not old enough to remember that this car was faster then a IROC and 5.0 stang in 91 and wasnt a far cry behind a vette. Even without it being lowered the car is a absolute blast to drive.
Here is another nissan guy wringing his out on track...notice its about stock height and i gurantee he has forgotten more about suspensions then most of us will know. Its Dave Coleman from sport compact car fame.
I vote you buy an e30 now, they are much more affordable then when they were new. And...you can get a "cool" look and good ride at the same time.

You dont see the similarities? they are the general 3 box shape and style, they have very similar length, wheelbase etc etc and this car is 2300 lbs. And it will still run with a 318 (its compeitor) on a auto-x HPDE track all day long. I know i do both. BTW car and driver picked this over the 318 in 91-91;)
Dont get me wrong I love the e30 and I will get one i am just particular on what I want. Like i said if i wait until summer I will probaly have funds for a e30 M3 and I will have both cars then.
Very nice. I loved the regals, and cutlass of that era. Nothing like getting mine out on a nice night with some good tunes and the t-tops out. They are so diffrent and alot of folks on here wont get it but being u have a F body in your sig you will, If i cant find a decent e30 m3 next summer a grand national is on my list
Thanks and i love t-tops! my Grand National had them too :D
Good looking Nissan. I have had quite a few Nissans but never one with an SR20. :( Most of mine had a KA24DE and one V6. My current Nissan has a KA24DE (2001 Altima). I really like the older G-Bodies. A buddy of mine has an 87 or 88 Grand National T-Type and is really nice.
i hear ya on the V6. My regal had the 231 V6 and was slow as hell lol. But made a nice cruiser! I love g-bodys. My grandma has her 78 Monte Carlo that she bought new and has been garaged since day one. it's a low mile car too.
here was my regal, It was old lady owned too.

Thank you its as clean as it looks. Its a v6 sadly but im not swapping it. Its not made to be a racer even the interior is in great shape it has always been garaged. In that pic those are the original tires...i changed the dry rotted things..lol

We get lots of snow and Ice here in missouri my friend and in 91 I was looking at bang for my buck and something that could get me through the bad weather. If i was in Cali like you my choice might of been different;)

Well in 91 this car was faster, lighter, has a limited slip 8k rpm redline, was 4k cheaper. I dont regret my choice It still brngs a smile to me every time i drive it. It was lowered. If you knew these cars you would know how hard it is getting a decent spring for them. H/R, Eibach you name it are all not stiff enough. The only people that make a decent setup is progress (read exspensive and hard to find) and shortened Konis with a super rare spring by a company called Hyperco again really exspensive. The car will surprise you and any of you that dont know the SR20 this car came with it was worlds better in 91 then the 4 banger in the 318. It has all poly bushings and good struts on it now. Im 41 I wont sacrifice comfort for looking cool no more.
