That is something I have not seen done on a street engine before.

Yes, it has 7 layers of carbon. You can drive over it by car and it wont break :D
Still it's very light comparing to metal. S54 I did make airbox from stainless steel so it weights 10kg more than S38 airbox. But I will take the 10kg back with more boost ;)
