so i finally started taking out the engine out of the sedan today
glad i finally had the time to remove the engine

then i gathered up some tools to remove the valves off the m62TU to put onto my m60b40 heads (same valves just different springs in them b40 is dual m62TU is single)

these were my tools of choice Pen/pencil, valve compressor/ copper tube i got at home depot that i just cut a hole on the side with a dremel

started by removing the cams/lifters then placed the copper tube on the springs to get the clearances i need to use the valve compressor

then i used a pencil/pen to "poke" out the valve locks

and viola your valves can now be removed and before you know your head is bare,

thats it for today since the rain was making it really hard for everything since i removed the engine out in the rain, later on this week i should be able to clean up the valves and start lapping them

so change of plans, i guess im going full rebuild and changing the piston rings and also lapping the valves, and about to order a oil cooler setup along with AC stuff, more parts should be here this week and hopefully i can finish the heads this weekend. ill try to take as much pictures as i can so people won't be too afraid to do a rebuild on their own car ;) but if you #($* up thats your own fault (disclaimer) haha

this is how i did my exhaust system, ehh its ok for never welding anything in my life

also got all the wiring off

and got all my gaskets to do the head changes this weekend! it feels like Christmas for me

thats all for now since i work until 8pm m-f and don't have time to work on my car until the weekend

figured out the idle issue, it seems these v8 engines have a common oil separator fail issue, (shoulda replaced that when i had everything out)
but in the good side i just bought b40 heads to replace the b30 heads i put on, and $500 worth of gasket/oil separator/seals
    so updates coming soon!
