New lift arrived today. Now we will have a dedicated lift just for projects and product development. This one is also designed for lowered vehicles (ahum... E30's, etc. )

I have always enjoyed watching your builds. It's nice to see so much variety and willingness to step outside of the box.

We try and do 90% of the motor rebuilding in house. Customer wanted this done else where then started to have problems and brought it in. This is what we found.

Thats why its best to do the work your self and not trust some machine shop to put it together you live you learn

This was a 2.5 block with 2.8 crank (forged) and rods. Then the pistons were .50 over m50. With higher compression. Head was machined with all new super tech valves and double valve springs. Entire setup was also fully balanced and blue printed. With 11/1 compression. As well as Schrick cams.

The Machine shop that did the work forgot to install the oil squirts. So the engine starved for oil. Crank ruined. The number 6 valves gave out. 1 broke and made a hole in the piston causing the other one to bend. I think the entire engine is toast. We will take the rest apart tmrw and see. Sad. Pistons were tethlon coated as well. 1K miles is all this lasted.
