So whats the big deal? You can only be one of the first guys to swap in a certain engine, you were, right?
If you want your swap to STAY unique it either has to make no sense (smart 3-cyl), or be not affordable at all (ferrari v12, though some crazy swede probably is doing it right meow).
Now go slap itb's and a megasquirt on to your 302 :D:nice:
This here seems to come along nicely, would've never had the patience for that bay cleaning ^^

Not sure, those brakes look CLEAN! What kind of rotors and pads are you going to run? Do you know what the width of a stock rotor is? The braking surface? I tossed my old ones.Leave a comment:

Got all the centers of the Fikse's blasted and ready for paint. I'm thinking classic gold.
Side note: anyone know if I need a longer throttle cable for a carb setup? I still need to do some test fitting.Leave a comment:

I think I just need to sell my car, get another e30, find a swap nobody has ever done and just take my time. Everyone's coming out of nowhere with amazingly done 5.0L swaps :puppy:
Absolutely love it so far dude, can't wait to see it finished.Leave a comment:

you're a boss! thanks.....so I need to order one of these flanges and a 1310 u-joint for the rear of the DS? And I'll prob get a 1330 for the front.I posted in Stuart's build thread about the u-joint to use for the DS. Check it out. Here are the 2 links for reference:
Why You Might Need One. When doing a V8 swap into a BMW, the BMW U-joint is non-serviceable and requires special machining to replace. Stealth Conversion’s heavy-duty BMW driveshaft conversion flange has the same bolt pattern and pilot dimensions as the stock BMW driveshaft flange, but it uses the road-tested Dana 1310
