    COTM ~March 2013~ MR 325

Congratulations Matt! Thanks for all your devoted time in moderating this forum and doing Car of the Month. Now's your time to enjoy the spotlight!

How did you find this e30 it?

I was 17 years old at the time I originally bought the car, I believe it was September 2004.

Where was it being sold? Who was selling it?
If I remember right it was for sale in the Recycler publication here in the LA area. This was the standard for finding good deals before Craigslist became the norm. The seller even delivered it to my house! Two years later (Late 2006) I made the mistake of thinking I wanted to sell the car.

I sold it for a premium and off it went to Pennsylvania to a happy new owner. Although I did build a couple great E30s in the meantime, the love I had for this particular car never faded. A good friend of mine spotted my car for sale once again (still in PA) sometime in late 2010. I knew I had to have this car back so I scraped the cash together and bought myself a nice little Christmas present that year! There’s something about this particular E30, it gives me a feeling no other car ever has.

When I think of r3v... I think of J's old grey car and Matt's turbo. This isn't just car of the month- its THE car.

Kudos Matt. Hope all is well man!

Perhaps the most iconic car on the boards and with great history. I can still remember the ad from the for sale section here, people were hesitant to inquire about it bc of what it meant to you. I remember when you posted in the members rides section back in '10 and I thought you were just strolling down memory lane, I was so pumped when I read you brought it back to the rightful owner

                  Perfect. I wouldn't change a single thing.

I've never really seen any engine bay or interior pics, looks great. And I also never really put it together in my head that this is the same car you had years ago. Quite a transformation!

                              - New (lighter) window tint.
