Doesn't destabilize idle for me (maybe the load of the big e-fan is about the same as the AC was). YMMV

I always thought that the AC button bumps up the idle when it's on, no?

It is indeed a samco intake boot=) I got it second hand for $80. It cleaned up like new. The KaMotors intake sounds nice. My major complaint is the quality of the screws. They're a cheap uncoated steel that rusts like crazy. I replaced them with stainless screws and siliconed the ends to the body to create an air tight seal.

Oh...my bad...but no, that doesn't look like a part of the Kamotors kit.

And would you mind Pm'ing me about the details on the adapters?
Like where you got them from and how much, if you don't mind?
    I'm looking for a set myself...seeing a bunch for $400+ and that's a lil' outta my range.

Also, can ANYONE tell me what boot that is on the TB?

    Great looking car mate.

Think I may have seen your build thread on ECCA?

What suburb of Brissie are you in?

    Tim.

I also wouldn't mind a tip on how to show the photos in the post rather than as attachments.

    My M42 E30 318is

    Hey guys.

Bought this 1990 318is about 5 weeks ago. The weather here in Brisbane has been terrible since then so I haven't taken any pictures of the car myself so the pictures are from when the car was listed for sale.

The Momo steering wheel which came with the car was ridiculously small - so small I couldn't see the gauges! That has now been replaced with a suede M3 wheel I purchased from VAC motorsports.

Plans for the future are to boost the M42 but before I get to that point I want to get the suspension and brakes sorted. I'm not keen to do it the other way around. And to that end I have a set of KW V2 coil overs on there way from the UK thanks to DC Performance.

    Enjoy the pics.

E36 fan where condenser used to be, wired to the aux fan circuit (you'll need a higher fuse for this circuit).

Now the snowflake AC button is the "engine cooling" button, and you've got a fuckton of room between engine and radiator.

Pics in my build thread, search for "318ic restore".
That's so sick. Does it also bump your idle up to ~1k?
