Happy 28th Birthday to my 325es!

Happy Birthday to my 1986 325 es! According to bmwarchiv.de, the build date was March 21, 1986. I know everyone has seen Alpinwiess etas in crappy cell phone pics, but that one's mine (I tried to make pic smaller, didn't work out). It's like me in a lot of ways, really....bright white, slightly underpowered, and with a rowdy exhaust. The odometer has held onto 260,000 miles....since 2010. It's bone stock, and will probably stay that way. Future plans include changing the oil and possible rotating and balancing the tires....I spoil it. I bought Whitey on December 13, 2012 following an epic driveshaft u-joint failure on my '84 533i at 75 mph. My late uncle Jack went with me to buy it, just to get out of the house. A month later, he put some welds on it. That was the last car he ever worked on, in a career that began at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the '50's...he watched Bill Vukovich's game-changing crash up close. About two months after the welding was done, my uncle was hospitalized, and died a week later. So, at least for that reason, I'll always have this car. I know that's a bad pic, it really looks much better...it's been buttoned up nicely over the last year, sitting out our unusually tough winter in my garage this year.

Here's to the next 28 years!!!

Happy 25th! I was thinking of registering it as Antique, but most every part is less than a year old. It's the Joan Rivers of cars.

Hey fucker, you can't call it whitey. Whitey has been the name since Dec 06 of whitey.

I don't know what else to call it! I tried to get a personalized license plate that says "honkylips", but that was already taken.

"The Farley"? Why, because I only use Callahan brake pads?? Bought 'em from Tommy Boy himself.
