Great progress!! You and I apparently have quite similar taste in vehicle mods. I can't believe how good those SL1s look on your car in silver with polished lip. Perfect match to the white paint. Also I am miffed they are offering the SL1s in 9" now. When I bought mine they only had 8" wide :(
Also I LOVE the seats. Wish I had seen that model recaro before I bought my corbeau gts2s - I think new they are nearly the same price.
Nice houndstooth and suspension too - funny how similar our mods are.
Subbed for more!
EDIT: that was ridiculous that someone told you to take your DIY down for the cupholders. I'm glad you posted that back up. Good work.
I couldn't agree more!
I love the bronzit with the black and bronze sl1's. Looks super nice! I actually bought the wheels off of a friend and he purchased the staggered setup about a year ago. The seats are great! Actually, the webbing that holds the lower cushion on the driver side just gave out so i have to fix that. Temporarily threw a thick folded towel under the seat. (Old seat problems) haha. At times I wish they were less aggressive and that I had went with something like the corbeaus in your car for the comfort aspect. Don't get me wrong, they're awesome seats. But it's a struggle to get out of the car sometimes. The houndstooth was a necessary addition! I'm not an absolute fan of leather especially in the summer so I lucked out on getting almost the complete houndstooth interior for $200. Hell, the CL add is still up and I still have his number so I could always go pick up the front seats as well and make it complete. I'll roll with the recaro a for now though, I'm tall and they are the perfect height for me.
I'm over the whole cupholder thing. It's in the past, but I totally agree!
Thanks for the sub! I'm excited to see your progress as well. Who knows, maybe an s52 will visit this car in the next few years once I finish up with school!

Mini update.
Did a little front end cleanup yesterday. Sanded down my ugly break ducts, primed and repainted them in a gloss black, used some rubber undercoating on my ugly lip, and some on my oil cooler trim! Next step: shave front valence fill in any ugly spots, prime, and paint with color matched paint! Sooon! Or maybe mt2 front valance... Hmm. If anyone local has an oem or replica front mtech 2 valance, I'll trade my bbs rz469/style 5's for it!

I also hard wired my POINTLESS window cutout and wired in my sub amp ignition line so it works as a sub cutout. Oem plus ftw!

Hello! Yep! Speaking of which, I believe I should use that $150 of work they will do if you buy the car you get inspected by them.
Say hello!Leave a comment:

Heyyyy, you had it looked at by North Bay Bavarian. They're great, I'm in Santa Rosa as well.
EDIT: I'll be on the lookout for you whenever I'm in the Napa valley.Last edited by sneakyRedPanda; 05-29-2015, 07:07 PM.Leave a comment:

Cal Maritime!
Finally had some things done that have been out of my reach. I figured I would take it to a professional to have it done the right way, but I finally installed my exhaust!
Anza mid section (post cat) to a custom made y-pipe, and new 2.25 piping all the way back to a magnaflow 14815 muffler.
Steve at Napa Valley Muffler did an awesome job and all the welds, bends, and work looks spot on.
This is basically the last big mod I'm doing to the car for a while!
Sounds super nice! Power feels about the same since its post cat, it doesn't really affect anything. I asked him about the flow and he said it would be more than enough so I'm pretty stoked with the outcome! Sound clips coming soon!

Damn. I use to go to locals night In Napa every Tuesday haha! Sounds legit tho. I want your seats so let me know if your ever in a financial bind ;) I was pretty good at saving back in Napa but now having an apartment and stuff all the bills sorta stack up against me. I need to find a better gig out here I was doing valet at the Westin in Napa and man was it lucrative. Was able to pay for my full rebuild in cash in no time. Saved a lot but now I'm sorta biting into that :/
I was up at the St. Helena location! My classmate worked there so I decided to apply there. Worst idea ever. In the year I owned my wrx I put like 12k miles on it commuting! Haha. Being a valet must have been awesome! Parking prius' and Ferrari's all day.
I can agree with you on that. Living with your parents is a major deal breaker. The costs drop significantly and allow much more play in how you decide to spend on things. When I started working at my first real permanent job I was shocked at the cash flow. My budget went from headlight overlays to wheels! Lol. Thankfully I had no regular bills to pay.
I'm in a really weird stage in my life, about to graduate next week, where I'm ready to move on to the next chapter, yet so not ready to leave the safety of being a "kid" behind me.
Moving up the ladder doesn't always mean instant benefits. Sometimes you've gotta eat ramen every night to get to the next stage!
I'll let you know if I decide to sell the seats, I had a feeler add to trade them for something less aggressive, but now that I think about it, I see no reason as the factory sports seats are WAY too high for me.
Keep in touch man, let me know when you're in town! I'll be around in the fall since I'll still be in the Bay Area!Leave a comment:

I purchased them off of an ebay vendor from thailand! He buys them off the Japanise Yahoo auctions and resells them to the rest of the world. They didn't sell for his original asking price so I threw him an offer and had them shipped (took 3 months  ). The mounts are factory slider adapters on the passenger side and floor mounts on the driver (both from Lee Massive).
If I robbed banks I would have an m3!
The short answer to your question Is that I'm not currently in a taxable employment position.
The long answer however I'm far more proud of and explains why I have the money for the seats.
I've had quite a few business endeavors over the past few years. For a while I was pressing and building my own downhill longboards which I sold. I was buying, trading, and flipping downhill longboard parts, (they're not as disposable as street boards) haha.. Then that sort of developed into flipping subaru parts. I think I invested like 1k in mods and when I parted my car out made like 2500 back, not counting the things I left on the car. All while taking photos on the side.
For the past few years I have been managing our rental listing as well, communicating with guests, greeting them, and cleaning the room, leaving me with a percentage. This is currently my main source of income.
Last summer I worked at Gott's up valley, and have worked some Wine Auctions. I've had quite a few odd jobs here and there, mostly surrounding various events. I'll make money any way I can haha :pimp:
I don't live a very lavish lifestyle and spend as much going out as others my age nor the intangible purchases our generation is well known for. I haven't had a "legit" job in the past few months, and am going off of my rental income percentage and dedicated "for spending" savings. It's not that hard as I am finishing up with high school living at home, having almost no expenses other than gas, insurance, and some other little things. Leaving most of my money to go to cars :D
College in the fall will change all of this. As I am not planning on and won't be dedicating any money into the car after the summer other than maintenance! Hello school debt
Wow that was long sorry! Now I feel like everyone who's reading this knows way too much about my economic situation... lol... move alongLeave a comment:
