    1985 Euro 323i turned eta

    I solved it r3v!
No upper pad on the passenger side, just this metal thing.
Got one off the parts car

Put it on top and kept the metal piece on the bottom

And we are good. So stoked. Been working on it since 11 and doing the spring compressor was pretty sketchy and I couldn't loosen it so I'm leaving it on the spring until I do the suspension removal on the parts car

Racelands on the back. The fit on the front is perfect. I have hr sports in the mail but now I got these wheels those may be too high.. I removed the 3mm spacers earlier and it still rubs. Here are some pics.
Rear fitment right side, for some reason it's lower on the right (passenger side) so I'm going to check if I have spring hats or not. It rubs but look at that.. So close to not rubbing!
    And here's the front
Kinda hard to tell, I was in a rush- it's close but not rubbing

Got new wheels yesterday, threw them on today. Went to back up and scrooooooot. They rub just bareeeely. Gotta throw on the h&r's once they come and see how it looks and feels with those.
Had it on caps too! Don't scrape anymore

I'm gonna try to go 17 next spring but if they won't fit I'll do 16. There's like a foot of sidewall with the 14's!

Ordered H&R sports! I'm gonna throw on the bottle caps once the sports go on the put the gold wheels up for sale. Then get something to fill the fender gap a bit and make it much more practical. 16's are what I'm thinking? Looked good from the images I searched. Might try to squeeze in an undercoating somewhere before the winter (even though it's gonna stay in the driveway)

I have H&R sport springs and the ride isn't stiff but is better than stock. It's nice in the back but in the front seems a bit high, which might be good for you. If my car wasn't a convertible I'd run Koni's instead of the KYB I have now

is bilsteins+ hr springs the way to go? Will 16x8 poke like the 15's do now?

Ground controls+ koni sport adjustable's. I have the billy and h&r sport combo in my car the rears bind and cause a bouncy ride at times. I have heard that ie3's are good maybe koni and ie3

Awesome. What tire size are you running? Looks like 195/45 or 195/50..

I think with a bigger tire like 195/55 or 205/50 - would really make it look that much better!

finally got plates!!!! So so excited. Took forever waiting at the DMV but it's in the past. Got this plate adjuster thing at Walmart and it's freakin mint. No holes drilled, but we got a front plate on it!

Been really tearing into the parts car! It's pretty fun. Not so complex as I thought. The wiring would throw me for a loop if I had to redo all the interior stuff, but I don't see why the head swap should be too hard besides the starter and c101.

The euro is getting plates tuedsay! I can't wait till the meet on the 18th.

Swapped over the US belts, it was a breeze! Began the deconstruction of the 89 as well. Some bolts have been bitches but for the most part it's been fun. Still have to reg it, but I'm gonna solve the check light ( coolant switch) on the 85 so it will pass inspection and maybe throw some sealer on suspect parts of the exhaust.

I am going to ask my parents if I can leave the mini outside for the winter and use the garage as an engine rebuild room, I hope they say yes.
