car looking gooooood friend.
Quick question I have, one IX owner to another. How much drive train movement would you say you have on hard shifts? I've noticed mine is moving around quite a bit these days and I am not sure if this is just an IX thing or not. I've replaced the rear diff mount and the transfer case mount, but still need to do the motor mounts.

Thank you much!
Have you tried these guys for the sway bar? https://whitelineperformance.com/col...bf36x-sway-bar

So I installed a late Zender apron, need to cut/ move the exhuast tips so they fit better.
Got the R12 drained and system completely removed, engine bay is dirty so...
Lowered the front another half inch, ride height is at roughly 11.75 front and 11.5 rear with the iX kit.
Still, need to flip the oil filter housing around and do an oil change, then reboot the axles and add some spring helpers to the GC's
I also need to figure out a swaybar solution for the front. I have a 19mm rear, tried to fit a 21mm 323i e46 sway but it doesn't fit. Next, I will try e36 m3 22.5" bar and relocate the mounts on the housings. A friend is still working on an e36 rack to fit iX subframe.
Sidenote- I'm going to try to shoot some actual photos with a few people, I guess we will see. Really happy with the look of the car, I like Rieger's lips but it sits too low for my taste and I'd probably break it knowing the real Rieger lips are fragile...
Next up is to get it running on MS2 and get all the sensors for oil temp/ pressure reading for the podi then hopefully we can get to some AutoX, Probably going to do RMCCA autoX, my car has 85 points so in the BDS class. I may do RHD ITBS before rotrex because I want to learn more about tunerstudio and get it running really good before rotrex on COP, not to mention that I would have to remake the cold side piping to fit the intake box.Last edited by Chrisbike; 03-13-2018, 02:52 PM.Leave a comment:

Idle is perfectly fine with the flywheel unless the chatter on idle bothers you then you'll like it. I honestly can say after putting like 10k on it that it is really good and worthwhile for a daily. Faster downshifts, no double clutching, definitely recommend it. ThanksLeave a comment:

How do you like the RHD 7lb flywheel for a daily driver? do you notice a weird idle at all? I want one but not if the idle quality goes down, 7lbs. is pretty light. Nice build btwLeave a comment:

At Glen Shelly, located in an airplane hanger. Check their site out if you haven't http://glenshelly.com/
Picked up some bumpers/ late model valance to do plastic bumper conversion on a friend's early model so that was cool, kinda silly.
Helped to assemble the Trans and T-case on the rebuilt engine for this beauty, He got it in the car the day after. He hasn't driven the thing in a year due to life getting in the way sadly!
Headed back from Denver to Steamboat. Put a splitter on and spacers, changed the roof rack setup a bit and made height custom mounts. Front-5mm Rear 20mm on 185/65/14... Et35 oe e30 steelie, nice winter stance.
Got a foot of snow in Steamboat, broke my splitter. so it may be time for a kooglewerks one because the abs ones are really delicate.
Also my Zender rear apron is on the way... :pLast edited by Chrisbike; 08-14-2018, 06:07 PM.Leave a comment:

Thanks, not sure yet what it will look like but a shorter ratio rack of some sort will be going into the car in a few weeks. The car should be a hoot in AutoX, I don't know what class it will be in, it will be all about improving driver skill before I double the power... :oLeave a comment:
