Dont take $2400 for it... Tell them that it will cost you AT LEAST $4000 to get a decent one. If yours was really nice, Push for $5500, if yours was kind of a piece push for $3000. After they agree on a price, then ask how much to buy it back.

On second thought, is this YOUR insurance company or someone elses? if its yours, play nice, if its someone elses, play hardball.

    Then buy my beauty. :)

I'm kind of confused though, you have early model bumpers with late model tails and valance...

Last time I went through that it was a far "rarer" car than an E30.

They gave me $2900, but let me buy the car back for $500, with no marks on the title...since there was no frame damage.

So basically, I got $2400 for a car I paid $250 for, spent $180 fixing it, and had a hell of a party!

Dude you should be able to keep the car, take the money, fix the dent and still have enough left over to fix the other shit thats wrong with it if you are at all creative. Please don't part it out! That would be stupid.

But if you do I'll take the valence.

sorry to see that it did get the title on it. I say keep the car and if having a slavage title on it doenst bother you then just take the money the insurence gives you and fix it. If it doest bother you than still by the car back and sell it as a whole, maby get 1000 or part it out, a lot more work but a lot more money.

thats a shitty deal. dont take this the wrong way but your valence seems to be the worst part of the car if it still looks like that. if it does maybe they adding that in with the dent.
