I had originally planned to order a Z4M Coupe in late '05 but decided to find an E39 M5 instead. I never really regretted that decision until a guy on Bimmerfest posted pictures of his Z4M Coupe a few days ago:
Z4M Coupe and E39 M5 are 2 different cars in my opinion, one is more sporty oriented, drive alone type of a thing and M5 is true autoban burner with capability of carying 4 people in comfort, a bit heavy but still nice. It depends on what you want from the car
the current M coupe is probably one of the most beautiful cars produced right now IMO. looks even better with the csl wheels. the rear 3/4 shot is my favorite
Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Yes, they are indeed two different cars. I already have the Z3 M Coupe, so it was either going to be "Hey, cool, now I have a Z3 M Coupe and a Z4 M Coupe", or "Ok, I have a Z3 M Coupe for fun and an E39 M5 for hauling friends and clients around".
I went with the M5, and I don't regret it, but the Z4 M Coupe definitely is a cool looking car.
Oh, and in the 16 months I've owned the M5 I've averaged 14.5MPG.
I was just at the dealer the other day, if their rear fenders were more volumptious I'd like them more. That is my new conclusion, not that they are way to much $$$$.
First thought as I saw this thread. Ben, you have enough vehicles already.

Dude tell me about it. Taking care of all my vehicles and keeping them all clean has become a full time job. I'm selling the M5 for just that reason. No garage to put it in (the M Coupe and S50 E30 get the two garage spaces), no time to clean it every weekend since it sits outside. It's just too much.
