On snow/ice, flotation and traction go much farther than suspension travel

It´s actually ground clearance,

with the usa trucks they still have there drives and suspension sitting low, while the truck it self is high, totally wrong way of doing things,
by raising the wheel size you effectively raise the diff and rest as well and gain ground clearance, it´s needed when driving on glaciars.

The blue hilux is mine, and this is my fathers Hilux, just on small tires on the Icelandic scale, just 35":

whats the offset on the wheels? running any spacers?

I dont remember the offset think it is 0 in the front and 21 in the rear

and I have 13mm spacers in the front , none in the rear
