    i think it had nothing to do with touring car circuits there, and had a lot to do with luxury tax on vehicles over 2.0 liters.

    i seen most of them use sr20det...i know some of them use m50 and m42...but in nothern..most of them use sr20...sounds of four pot and blow off valve...of course sr20...anyway thanks for get me right..

    in Thailand..the siamese like to swap it to 2jz...that's why my car was swapped to RB20...
    bro.. i'm from m'sia too. I think u just got it wrong.There's only a few bunch of e30 owners here are into jdm engine. Usually most of them ditch m42 or m50 in their hood and i have 2 friends who have s50.. :D u just need to hang out with these udm enthusiast a lil more..

    yes...so plenty e30's here...most of them have been swaps to japs engine...some of them swap to m20b25 from smaller engine m40 and m20b20...a little of them swap to m50...but the most of them swap to sr20det...i heard 1 e30 swaps to RB26DETT with single turbo and always used to race at sepang f1 circuit...
