That car definately looks good. Nice mods, only needs a nice clean and buff.Leave a comment:

Nothing that would be of any use to you. The VSR unit comes with backing plates to sandwich the mounting locations. The rollbar front hoop hits the floor just in front of the rear seat area and just inside the door sill. The rear points hit the wheelwells. I was able to use the backing plates under the front mounting points, but had not good way to form the backing plates to the compound curve of the underside of the wheelwells so I used stainless steel (grade 5) fender washers to spread the load as much as possible. All other hardware was grade 8. The drivers side front mount location is a pain because fuel lines run right through there. You need to get creative to handle that area.Do you have any more pictures of the mounting points for the roll cage?Leave a comment:

I love everything about your car but the I lip and the fake carbon shift knob. :up:Leave a comment:

The headliner really isn't that hard to install. The only thing I was worried about was making sure I didn't break the windshield when I removed it.Leave a comment:

Seriously?! Damn $350 is a bit much...I think that guy rscherig or something to that extend sells them for $180...not the same material but his stuff is pretty good. You know BMW still sells black headliners right? They're about $350.
And it is pretty damn difficult to install...remove all the trim, windows, take out headliner...so much crap. It sucks. Get a shop to do it. And make a cardboard piece to replace it instead of using the rods that are there. Much easier to get it right that way...take my word for it.
Why is it better to use cardboard?
Wow good deal...The headliner I got from a forum member who got it in a group buy I think. I stripped everything out and then had a body shop install the headliner. Then I reassembled everything. It's a big job as all the glass has to be removed. It was worth it in the end. If you want a shop to do the whole thing, my quotes ran from $750 - $1200. Doing all the stripping, and paying only for the headliner install itself, I spent $400 ( including the cost of the headliner). That includes paying to have a new windsheild installed as I broke the old one taking it out.
I'm very much inclined to get a black headliner.Leave a comment:
