I've got to see if I still have it. I'll let you know.

Nothing too big on the update front, unfortunately. I've got the rotating assembly put into the freshly painted/honed/decked block, as well as, oil pump and pan put back on. So essentially the bottom end is back together. The Schrick cams are in the freshly cleaned/surfaced head. I've got to time the cams and then throw the head onto the block, which should get down in the coming weeks.
Then it's throw her up on jack stands and pull the m20 time! This whole build/swap has taken a lot longer than expected (as they always do), for a few reasons, but it's slowly starting to take shape.
I've also done a bit of the work on the exterior and interior, so I'll post updated pictures soon.

While I'm waiting for my M50 engine to get rebuilt with the M54B30 bottom end, I came across a deal that I couldn't pass up. Just pulled the trigger on a set of Schrick camshafts. That ought to get this stroked M50 moving quite nicely. Looking forward to getting it all into my e30!
I'll post pictures of everything once I get the cams and engine back.Leave a comment:

Just picked up a set of black sport seats for a whopping $90! They aren't perfect, but for $90, I couldn't not buy them. The black and tan interior swap is almost completed, just need a complete black rear seat now. I'll post pictures later.

Bought an M54B30 for $350, pulled the bottom end out and I'm getting that put into the M50 right now. Still trying to source a few parts to complete the swap, but it should start in the near future. Pictures will be posted once the swap starts!

Well, pulled the trigger on a complete 92 525i. I'll hopefully start pulling the M50 out this weekend. Feels good to FINALLY have my M50 to mess around with! Now if I can only source a complete M54B30 rotating assembly...

Ral! Hey man, if you were here to help, maybe it would've got done. Well probably not, cause we just would've drank heavily and laughed at stupid shit like school kids. Regardless, I think the M50 stroker makes the most sense and has the most realistic opportunity to get done, before the little one gets here. Go get Princess and stop being a bitch...Leave a comment:

Well, the lofty goal of doing an LS1 swap is no more. Just sold the engine (for $300 more than I bought it for!) last weekend. New plan is a stroked M50. Still trying to source a good M50, locally, but hopefully I can get the swap done in the September time frame. I realized how much work was going to need to be done in order to swap in the LS1 and with how clean this e30 is, it's got to stay true to it's BMW bloodline. I'm not gonna lie, 350hp would've been real nice in this little car, but 220-240hp ought to be just fine for her. I'll start updating more regularly once the M50 gets purchased and starts getting torn apart for rebuild. Thanks for checking in.
